Pudina (mint) is a popular and refreshing herb used to make a variety of drinks, especially in the summer. Here are a few recipes for delicious pudina drinks, ranging from simple juices to more complex preparations.
Simple Pudina Juice (Mint Sherbet)
This is a classic and easy-to-make recipe that is great for digestion and cooling down.
Ingredients:
* 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves (pudina), packed
* 1-2 tablespoons lemon juice (or to taste)
* 2-3 tablespoons sugar or honey (adjust to your preference)
* 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder (jeera powder)
* 1/2 teaspoon black salt (kala namak)
* A pinch of black pepper powder
* 3 cups chilled water
* Ice cubes
Instructions:
* Wash the mint leaves thoroughly and remove them from the stems.
* In a blender, combine the mint leaves, lemon juice, sugar (or honey), roasted cumin powder, black salt, and black pepper powder with about 1/2 cup of the chilled water.
* Blend until you have a smooth, vibrant green paste.
* Add the remaining chilled water to the blender and pulse a few times to mix everything.
* Strain the juice through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher or serving glasses.
* Serve chilled with ice cubes and a sprig of mint for garnish.
Pudina Nimbu Pani (Mint Lemonade)
